Does life ever slow down?

Yesterday I had my regular doctor appointment and while I was there they checked the baby's heart rate, as usual. It seems that her heart was going over 190 beats per minute. Normally her heart rate is in the 150's or so. So I had to be monitored for a little while. Thankfully her rate did decrease, but not until I was laying on my left side. So now I have to go have an earlier ultrasound. I was supposed to wait another week or so but my doctor wants to make sure that there is enough fluid around her as well as to see her position and find out how big she is.

On top of that we were in the ER tonight....not for me! Mari was playing in our room and from what we can gather from her she was playing on my nightstand trying to turn my lamp on. She fell and cut her left eyebrow. It swelled up right away and was bleeding pretty bad. We brought her in and thankfully they decided to use surgical glue to close the cut as opposed to stitches. It was still horrible. They had to swaddle her up like a mummy and hold her down. They only way we could get her even remotely calm was when I would sing to her. Thankfully she did great and it's all done with! We are very thankful that it wasn't lower....it would have poke her eye out!

I will try and post some pictures of her soon.

Brownies, Nukkers and Toilets

It was an interesting day in the Pevestorf household. We decided to make up a pan of brownies, big mistake. As I was in our bedroom I hear Mari out in the kitchen with a spoon going, "brownie, brownie have some." When I got into the kitchen I noticed that Mari is about six inches taller than usual. She had taken her stool out of the bathroom and put it as close to the counter as she could. She had also taken out a rather large spoon and was helping herself to the pan of brownies! I only wish that I would have had the camera close by.

Later that evening I was filling up the bathtub for Mari. I decided that being 8 months pregnant and having water running made me need to used the toilet. As I got up and ready to flush I hear a "plop." I turn to look and Mari had thrown her much beloved nuk right into the UN FLUSHED toilet. Needless to say, that nuk ended up in the garbage!

Kyle and I are very exhausted!

Just a little Stinker Pot

This is what our bedroom looked like after I left Mari alone for about 2 minutes!

I don't know who gave Mari the "lip" as she called it, but it was all over her by the time she was done.

"Napping" with Grandpa and Grandma Nordlund

As you can see, Grandma and Grandpa aren't the best at getting a little stinker to sleep.

Jumping on the trampoline at the Dahl's house.
Mari's first pony ride. It only lasted about 10 seconds.

A little alone time.

The indoor pool at the Birchmont House in Bemidji.

Mari was not afraid of the water at all. We HAD to put her in the tube. She decided to jump into the pool without anyone there to catch her. We had quite a scare!

Mari's Park!

Kyle finally found us a little park for Mari on Craigslist. FREE!!! Mari loves to go swing and slide. She would be there all day if we'd let her!

Mari, being Mari!

Mari loves to take Daddy's hat and wear it. She places it on her head and says, "cute."

After running fast and having her legs stop and her face keep going Mari rammed her little nose into the chair. Thankfully her nose wasn't broken!
